Patricia A. Fox is an associate attorney at Abear Law Offices, where her practice is concentrated in the area of family law. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Education from Illinois State University. After teaching high school for several years, she continued her education at the John Marshall Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. Thereafter, Patricia was employed by Thomas L. Burdelik & Associates in Chicago, where she defended personal injury clients in jury trials and mandatory arbitration hearings on behalf of an insurance carrier.

Since 1997, Patricia has been practicing almost exclusively in the field of family law. She has written numerous briefs, successfully defended trial court decisions in the appellate court, as well as litigated pre-decree and post-decree family law matters. Patricia is certified to represent children as a Guardian ad Litem, Child’s Representative, and Attorney for the Child in both DuPage and Kane Counties.

In addition, Patricia is a certified mediator and serves as an arbitrator on mandatory arbitration panels in both Kane and DuPage Counties. Patricia is a recipient of the DuPage Legal Aid Foundation’s Pro Bono Service Award and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, and the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers.
